About India Blog Directory

You must be wondering why a new online directory of Indian blogs or blogs maintained by people of Indian origin, especially when there are already many websites and blogs taking care of the same niche? I too was thinking the same thing in the beginning. But recently when I was talking to a client and when he asked me whether he should start a new website even when the same stuff is being offered by scores of other websites I told him that it hardly matters when you start something new. What matters is how you do it and what extra and useful you can offer. The same advice applies to this website too

Although I interact on and with various international blogs and bloggers I have been missing the Indian blogging scene. Still, sometimes I do visit directories hosting links to Indian blogs and sometimes I visit those blogs. But the directories seems to have been created just as an afterthought. Interactivity is non-existent and they are hardly ever updated.

This is where I think the Indian Blog Directory is going to stand out. It is going to be feature-rich. As the listings and traffic increase I will keep on adding more features like research, feed updates, subscriptions, blogging, chatting, and consulting. I have already hosted the forum. So if something happens in the Indian blogsphere, you will get to know about it first here.
